Terms of Use

Effective 15 October 2026

These terms apply when you use the Hourling app. By using Hourling you agree to them.

1. What Hourling is

Hourling helps you plan study time for an exam, time your study sessions and keep a record of them. Its pace projections are estimates based on what you enter. They are not advice and do not guarantee any exam result.

2. Your data

Your study data is stored on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You're responsible for keeping your own backups, for example with your device's backup or Hourling's CSV export. We can't recover data lost from your device.

3. Acceptable use

Use Hourling for lawful, personal purposes. Don't reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app except where the law allows it.

4. Hourling Plus subscriptions

5. Changes and availability

We may update, change or stop parts of Hourling. We'll try to mention significant changes in the release notes.

6. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, Hourling is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Reminders depend on your device's notification settings and may not be delivered, for example in Do Not Disturb, Focus or low-power modes.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Hourling. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded.

8. App stores

If you downloaded Hourling from the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and us, not Apple; Apple isn't responsible for the app or its support.

If you downloaded Hourling from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to your use of the store and purchases.
